What’s this episode about?
Shockingly, Kait and I have agreed on another book. Only…we agreed that we didn’t really like Dollface. Womp, womp.
There were a lot of mixed feelings about this book. It has some great moments, sure. For example, learning what the word “enucleated” means. (Do not look that up. DO NOT LOOK THAT UP.)
It’s also a quick, easy-flowing read. Bodies regularly drop in creative ways, and the serial killer scenes are goryAF. I couldn’t read quite a few paragraphs. So, well done there, Lindy Ryan.
On the down side, the writing in Dollface annoyed us and the ending confused us. And, while the story kept us entertained, it didn’t necessarily keep us guessing. Kait and I both saw the “whodunit” coming a mile away.
….We just can’t figure out if we were supposed to. Like, did Ryan purposefully make the serial killer really obvious, for some reason? Or, are we both just naturally brilliant when it comes to figuring this shit out?
Like I said, there are LOTS of mixed feelings about this one.
