HOW TO FAKE A HAUNTING (Dark Side of the Word Podcast)

How to fake a haunting by christa carmen book cover

Hello, Tartlets and Darksiders! A new book club podcast episode is up on Dark Side of the Word. Join me and Kait as we discuss the supernatural horror novel How to Fake a Haunting by Christa Carmen.

What’s this episode about?

I can’t believe it, you guys – but Kait and I both really liked How to Fake a Haunting. I thought we’d have to read further into the new season to find a book we  agree on, but Christa Carmen’s unique take on the classic haunted house trope sucked us both in. From the cover art to the creep factor to the psychological insights behind the “fake hauntings”, we pretty much liked it all.

Other things we talk about in this episode: embroidery and other “grandma hobbies”; the importance of not making everything into a side hustle; querying literary agents; the latest news in publishing; and why we both (still) really don’t like AI.
